Energy and Public Relations Minister Rajendra Shukla presented the award given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the State for excellence in renewable energy sector, to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at the Cabinet meeting on Tuesday.
During last four years, 1,423 MW renewable energy capacity has been established in the State, which is maximum in the country. In the State, 306 MW solar power capacity has been set up, which is maximum in the country. Country’s largest 130 MW solar power plant has been established in Neemuch district. Similarly, wind energy projects of 456 MW and biomass energy projects of 671 MW have been implemented in the State. For these achievements, National Award has been conferred to the State. In Madhya Pradesh, 4,600 MW capacity renewable projects are under process.
