Min finds pending files at State Garage in inspection

Home and Jail Minister Babulal Gaur expressed displeasure on not disposing of pending files at State Garage. Gaur undertook a surprise inspection of State Garage on Monday and apprised himself of arrangements of office and process to repair vehicles. Gaur inspected files kept on Superintendent’s table. Some of these files included, which were pending for over two months.
Some of the cases  pertained to employees’ medical allowance, etc, which should have been disposed  of by Superintendent within time-limit.
In this regard, it was informed that post of Superintendent is sanctioned, but a officer of Mantralaya has been given its additional charge instead of permanent posting and concerning officer is unable to give adequate time to office arrangements.
Gaur further said that the officer in-charge must ensure that the files do not remain pending for long. This is negligence. Necessary action will be taken in this regard. Gaur sought information about vehicles made available by State Garage to Ministers and senior officers. He was informed that State Garage has about 125 vehicles including some unfit ones, which are being auctioned.
New vehicles will be purchased after auction. Employees informed Gaur they have been working as fitters, mechanics, drivers, etc for years but their services have not been regularised. Gaur asked them to move applications in this regard. He said that information of all contingency workers of State Garage will be sought and discussions will be taken as per rules.
