Energy Minister Priyavrat Singh has said that as soon as the funds are received from NVDA, the work of displacement and rehabilitation of agriculture pump consumers and village infrastructure falling under the Sardar Sarovar Project will be undertaken soon. Energy Minister Singh has informed that Madhya Pradesh Western Region Power Distribution Company has to take Rs 6.54 crore for works done in this area so far and Rs 38.38 crore for remaining works from NVDA.
It may be noted that farmers of Dhar and Barwani districts affected by submergence under the Sardar Sarovar Project, met the Energy Minister and demanded that the power supply should be restored soon. The farmers had informed that their crops would dry up if there is no electricity.
Meanwhile, the Simri Talai Power Sub-Station (Pipariya Division) of the Central Region Power Distribution Company has got ISO-9001 certificate for excellent design, functioning and technical competence. Energy Minister Priyavrat Singh and Managing Director of the company Vishesh Garhpale have congratulated the STC and STM officers and line staff of Hoshangabad circle for this achievement.
Simri Talai sub-station has been constructed recently. Now more than four dozen villages in and around Simri Talai sub-station will have electricity supply at proper voltage. This will also reduce power interruptions.
