Min: Protesting farmer unions formed by Opp

Published on:

Several farmer organisations which have mushroomed after agitation started have been formed by opposition and middlemen said State Agriculture Minister Kamal Patel while speaking with media persons.

Patel questioned these farmer organisations and agitation and said that the whole episode is not pro-farmer as these are made by opposition and middlemen. These organisations are anti-nationals and are flourishing with the help and support of anti-national powers which do not want country to become strengthened.

They want to destabilise government and country and by Kisan Janjagran campaign  the truth should be revealed.

He said that both Congress leaders and activists are confused about the new agricultural law. The farmers are being told that the mandis will be closed and they would be slaved by industrialists who would rob them but they do not know that this law is to protect the farmers from middlemen and they would get rid of industrialists.

The minister said that the law does not require farmers to worry about MSP.  The government will guarantee MRP to farmers, not MSP.

Due to the wrong policies of the Congress governments, farmers were forced to commit suicide, but now farming will become a business of profit.   For the first time after independence, the central government has given Rs 1 lakh crore for the change in the farming infrastructure.

To increase the income of farmers by forming Farmer Producer Groups (FPOs),  766 FPOs will be created.  The bank will provide loans to the farmers of the group.  There will also be a rebate of interest in three percent loan.
