Minister for Public Relations, Law and Legislative Affairs, PC Sharma gave instructions to the officials of the Municipal Corporation that they should get Maa Durga idols immersed at all the ghats of the Lower Lake by crane only. Devotees should not be allowed go inside the lake by boats at any ghat to immerse the idols and strict arrangement should be ensured in this regard.
Sharma along with MLA Arif Masood and senior officials of the district administration, police and Municipal Corporation took stock of security arrangements made for Durga idols’ immersion at Khatalapura Ghat at Lower Lake. He instructed the officials to be alert on all the ghats during Dusshera festival and Maa Durga idols immersion and keep a constant watch on the security arrangements.
Commissioner Bhopal Division Kalpana Srivastava, Inspector General of Police Adarsh Katiyar, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Irshad Wali, Collector Tarun Pithode, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Vijay Dutta, Vikas Veerani and local public representatives were present during the inspection of security arrangement at Khatalapura Immersion Ghat.
