The people of Mhow organised a public march and presented a memorandum to Mhow SDM Anshul Gupta in the name of Chief Minister for not shifting the tehsil office from Mhow to Mhowgaon area.
As the present Tehsil office in Mhow is in the centre of Town and is easily connected to all parts of Mhow with
Four-lane and has a good facility of public transport rather the Mhowgaon tehsil where the new tehsil office where the government is constructing new building is at the corner of mhow tehsil geographical area and no public transport facility.
The organizer of the Mhow tehsil bachao samiti and senior congress leader vivek khandelwal, Congress president Indore Pramod Tandon, Pradeep Jain, Premlata Tiwari, Govind Sharma and people from all walks of life including students and women participated in the Mhow Tehsil Bachao Protest March past carrying the posters banners and shouting slogans.
The people present in the protest march told that the government is unnecessary spending rest 28 crores for the construction of new Tehsil and also selling the premium government land of Mhowgaon to private builders through housing board. As there is more land required for the construction of houses for the government employees and police personnel of Mhow,
Manpur, Pithampur, Badgonda and Kishanganj police station urgently need the houses but the government instead of constructing houses for families of police is selling the government land to the private builders.
The project of shifting Mhow Tehsil was passed by BJP government but the BJP government did not start the construction work as it knew that their decision of shifting Mhow tehsil will be a big loss of vote bank in Mhow tehsil for BJP candidate. People urged the government to immediately stop the construction of new tehsil building in Mhowgaon and save Rs 28 core and government land and to restore the working of Mhow Tehsil office in Mhow.
