One sanctioned model school in Mhow Tehsil is yet to be constructed. The Madhya Pradesh government has started the project of model school to benefit the good and competent students which is open for all the students of Madhya Pradesh, but one such school is yet to be introduced in Mhow.
Under this project, the government has sanctioned one model school in every tehsil of Madhya Pradesh. The model school which is under construction in Mhowgaon Nagar Panchayat area, beside Mhow-Neemuch four-lane in Mhow tehsil at the cost of Rs 5 crore is still incomplete and the contractor has already delayed the construction for more than 10 months.
More than three hundred students who have to study in this model school are studying with the students of Utkrastha Vidyalaya High school Hari Fatak Mhow in the over packed classes. Under the scheme of model school the intelligent students from class 9th to class 12th are admitted by entrance test.
These students stay in the model school where with the free schooling they get free hostel facility and free food. But as the school building is incomplete the students have to study in the other school and they are not getting free hostel and free food facility.
The parents of such students have approached the officials, but to no avail. They feel that the construction of school should be completed soon, so that the students get benefited. Moreover, they alleged that the students are facing problems in moving to other schools that are far away from the tehsil headquarters.
