Merit list in Vyapam is prepared on the basis of marks obtained. Minimum qualification for the board’s exam is the same which is prescribed in recruitment rules by departments. Apart from minimum qualification, there is no clear cut provision for comparative preference to candidates having additional qualification. The State Government has directed all departments not to mention giving preference on the basis of desired experience or desired qualification for exams to be held through Vyapam. Directives have also been given to clearly mention minimum academic qualifications. There is provision to recognise departmental recruitment rules under Rule-4 of MP Junior Service (Joint Qualifying) Exam Rules, 2013, according to which all sub-clauses added to these rules and not incorporated in departmental recruitment rules will be amended and incorporated by departments in their recruitment rules.
