The weathermen across the country have indicated that summer 2017 will be exceptionally warm. But one would start feeling the effect of the heat this soon was not expected. It is just March and heat wave has already gripped parts of Madhya Pradesh. Heat wave is declared when the maximum temperatures are above normal by 4-5 degrees over a city whose normal average temperature is 40°C or more. According to Meteorological Department isolated places of North Madhya Pradesh are already experiencing heat wave conditions.
What is worrying is the fact that worst is yet to come. The mercury is all set to rise further in the coming days. According to weathermen, very soon some more parts of West Madhya Pradesh will come under the ambit of heat wave.
Normally, temperatures do not soar during this time of the year. During the last 2-3 years, unseasonal showers in the month of March had kept the day temperatures under check but this year lack of weather activity are responsible for these conditions.
Moreover, weathermen are not expecting any good spell of pre-Monsoon showers this season. As a result, summers will be sizzling hot.
