A 45-year-old mentally retarded woman was raped by two miscreants at Harrakheda under Gunga police station area. The matter came to fore after she got eight month pregnant and a case was registered on Wednesday.
The victim was not able to provide the details of the atrocity as she was not able to speak properly and the matter surfaced when the victim had gone to her mother’s house.
Police said that the victim’s husband had deserted her around 20 years ago and she used to live in the area along with her son and few days ago when she had gone to meet her mother the atrocity by the accused was revealed.
The victim told her mother that her neighbours Wahid and his brother Shahid sexually assaulted her few months ago.
In the investigation police found that the accused used to visit the victim but the locals never thought that the two might commit rape. The accused have raped her multiple times.
The police have registered a case under section 376 and 34 of the IPC and have started search for the accused.
Meanwhile, Ayodhya Nagar police have booked a 24-year-old youth for sexually exploiting a 16-year-old girl by using indecent videos and photographs at Prakash Nagar. The accused Shubham Chouhan sexually exploited the victim for the past one and a half year.
The victim in her complaint stated that the accused offered her tea laced with sedative and later took her videos and photographs.
He used the video and photographs to blackmail her and sexually exploited her threatening making video and photographs public.
The police have registered a case under section 376 2(N) of the IPC and section 3 and 4 of the POCSO Act and started search for the accused.
