Having failed to perform well in examination, a first year medical student of lN Medical College allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the terrace of Sagar Premium Tower under Kolar police station area late on Sunday night.
The deceased has been identified as Vishal Yadav and was hailed from Bhiwani district of Haryana. He lived at a rented apartment at Sagar Premium Tower.
Police said that before committing suicide Yadav allegedly messaged his friend Jatin to update his Facebook status and informed that he was afraid of giving further examination as his last paper went totally wrong and would end his life.
Before the incident, the deceased reportedly told his friend that he was his taking mobile phone for listening music and never returned. The roommates also told police that for last past few days Yadav used to remain depressed over the paper which went wrong.
A police officer said that at around 11 pm the youth allegedly jumped from the sixth floor of Sagar Premium Tower and the locals who spotted the deceased immediately him to JK hospital where he was declared dead.
Police were informed and after preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
