The Muslim Education and Career Promotion Society - Bhopal (MECAPS) would organise a quiz competition for Muslim students of 9th to 12th classes in Government recognised schools of Bhopal on November 20. MECAPS state Secretary Zafar Hasan in a statement here on Wednesday said, “The preliminary round of the Quiz Contest would comprise of a written test, based on general knowledge and current affairs that would be held on Sunday, November 20, 2016 from 9:30 am to 10:00 am. Successful candidates of written test shall be able to participate in the Quiz Contest on same day from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon.
Both the events shall be in English language and will be held at Gandhi Bhawan Bhopal.” Hasan further said that the application forms are available at MECAPS Office, Moti Masjid Campus Bhopal from November 10, 2016 between 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The last date of submission of application form is November 15, 2016. The first three winners of the competition will be awarded with Rs. 5000/- Rs. 4000/ and Rs.3000/- respectively besides Certificate and Mementos, he added.He said that the students desirous to participate in the quiz can contact on MECAPS land line phone number 0775-2530823 or on mobile number 9425018865 for their queries. He said that the MECAPS is engaged in inculcating awareness about the importance of education among the Muslim community besides creating awareness among Muslim students for education and to negate the common perception about it.
The organization is dedicated to the promotion of education amongst economically weaker Muslims and providing opportunities to the meritorious students by giving them awards and scholarships. MECAPS strongly believes that education and knowledge along can bring much needed social, economical strength and cultural change amongst the Muslim Community, he added.
