After the attack Mayor Krishna Gaur discussed the issue with the police and BHEl administration and instructed to tighten the security at the Triveni hostel. Gaur visited the hospital and talked about the incident and health with the doctors.
Mayor was scheduled to attend a function at Jamboori ground during which around 40 girls met her and informed about the incident. The girls informed that the lack of security at the hostel premises has made them vulnerable and were living in risky conditions. Following the complaint the girls were sent back to the hostel while she went to the hospital where the victim was undergoing treatment.
During her visit the Mayor discussed the matter with the Superintendent of Police and senior officials of BHEl. She instructed to arrange adequate lights in the premises and to increase the number of security guards. Station House Officer of Govindpura police station was informed to meet the mayor at hostel and at the hostel he was told to investigate the matter and nab the culprit at the earliest.
Triveni hostel is situated at Govindpura ITI which houses working women.
