Mayor Krishna Gaur here on Tuesday inspected the ongoing development works being carried out by the Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) in the city. While inspecting the ongoing development works, Mayor gave certain directions to the officials concerned.
The Mayor instructed the officials to finish the pending works within the time limit. During the inspection, Krishna Gaur visited Depot Square at Bhadbhada Road and reviewed the ongoing works. On her visit, she reviewed the sculpture of 'Bharat Maa' to be erected at the respective area and was informed about other ongoing development work.
On finding the work inappropriate and incomplete, she cautioned the contractors to start the work within a day or their registration would be cancelled. She instructed the officials concerned to remove the encroachments and illegal hoardings from the respective area.
later, the Mayor also inspected the newly constructed corporators' hall located at ISBT and inspected the ongoing works there. She asked the officials to immediately finish the remaining construction work of the hall. During her visit she was informed about the work plan and under-constructed areas of the hall. The officials told the Mayor about all the facilities that would be provided at the hall. The officials informed her that proper facility of drinking water, sitting area and other facilities would be provided there.
She inspected all the cabins and common rooms of the hall. She also reviewed the ongoing works being carried out at conference room of the hall. She instructed the officials to complete the construction of the cabins and common rooms of the hall maintaining quality. She also asked them to put tiles on the floor and walls to make it look beautiful.
On her visit, she also discussed about the major issues like road construction and cleanliness drive with the BMC engineers and gave necessary instructions. During the visit other BMC officials were also present.
