The swimmers of the team not only save lives of devotees during the holy dip, but also catch poisonous creatures/snakes when they appear on ghats. They are saving lives in this way also. An enthusiastic and brave member of the swimmers' team Shri Abdul Wajid said that he saved 5-6 lives during first Shahi Snan on Ramghat on April 22. On the call of Home Guards, members of the swimming team not only cleaned ghats of Ramghat, but also removed used flowers, worship materials and other waste from Kshipra river to keep its water clean and pure. The team is working round-the-clock in 3 shifts. Members of the team carry out with commitment whatever duty is assigned to them as Civil Defence. He informed that the team works with spirit of respect towards all religions. It is our goal and target to save all devotees during the holy dip from any untoward incident, he added.
