Customer is like white snow and therefore market should be buyer focused, said Neelam Shami Rao, PS Food and Civil supplies and Consumer Affairs, Govt of MP ,while addressing a round table conference on ‘Best Practices in Customer Satisfaction’ organised by PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry at Hotel Courtyard Marriott Bhopal on Wednesday.
She outlined the need for customer protection and awareness in Madhya Pradesh and suggested the Govt would encourage meeting all services available on net and also managing by 24x7 helpline.
She agreed that customer protection has to be given a top priority which was earlier outlined by Bejon Mishra an International Consumer Policy Expert.There was a well represented participation by various stakeholders and an outline was developed as the way forward.
Ajay Vyas Filed General Manager Central Bank of India said that most of the cases of consumer greivances are due to lack of communication.If communication is proper than there would be less no of conflicts Sandeep Sawarkar Principal GM BSNl apprised that still BSNl is on top in customer satisfaction and also shared the practices being adopted by BSNl.
SN Shrivatsava, Secretary CRM lIC,Mr Amarjeet Singh Khalsa Group Director IPER Institute of Management Bhopal and Preeti Saluja Executive Director SAM Group of Institutions and Chairperson Skill Development Committee PHDCCI, Swapnil Tripathi from Myskills also addressed the conference.
It was agreed that six business entities will develop a voluntary code of conduct on ethical based practices to reduce litigation and unproductive conflicts. The sectors selected were Health Care, Education,Ecommerce,Real estate and Food.It was also decided in the next 6 months each of this sector will develop their quality standard and ensure that it is more than that of regulated by law.
These groups will also facilitate in prompt complete redressed of issue to build a trustworthy mechanism on consumer protection. Subhash Vithaldas Chairman MP Committee PHDCCI, Kunal Giani Chairman Industrial Committee and Director Sarva Foams and Vijay Saxena Secretary Consumer protection Society Bhopal were present among eminent guest.
