MANIT to hold 'Maffick 2015' from Mar 11

Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT), Bhopal will be organising, Central Asia's largest cultural fest ‘Maffick 2015’ from March 11 to March 13. Notably, in order to promote the extracurricular activities and to discover new talents, this cultural fest aims to providing a platform for students to show their skills. 

The main participation is expected from students both intra-college and inter-college. The grand event is targeted to attract all the students from different colleges of India. Hundreds of students from various parts of India have already registered online for the fest and the number of registration is taking a hike every day. 

The main plan comprises of more than 30 events that includes dancing, singing, movie making, literary, street plays and many other fun events in order to refresh the participating youth. Further, the event is being organised and managed by MANIT Students' Council 2014-2015.Rock resurrection, zither and MANIT Idol will captivate the attention of people during the fest. 

Interestingly, this year, a movie making competition would steal the show. The students would wield the camera, shoot a short film and 

show it in the competition ‘Maffick 2015’. The students will have to exhibit their skills and magic behind the camera and make up a film that will leave the audience enthralled.

Notably, last year Maffick 2014 was a huge success and the students as well as the faculty members enjoyed the most. This year too through various cultural events, the students and the faculty would be overwhelmed and the similar response would be received, a student council volunteer added. 

He also said that this is a great effort to bring the students out of the books’ world and enhance their extra-curricular skills.
