With the aim to deliver prosperity to farmers of Madhya Pradesh through its range of technologically superior products and farm solutions Mahindra and Mahindra has added a new product Yuvraj 215 (15 HP) in its range, said Senior General Manager(SGM) Sales and Customer Operations Sunil Johnson while speaking with the media persons in the State capital on Thursday.
The new product in the range of 15 -50 HP have been introduced by the company is a mini-tractor for farmers having small piece of land.
Johnson told that earlier tractor was the only product offered by Mahindra and when it was found that the framers face problem in the whole process from sowing to selling the product ‘Mahindra AppliTrac’s‘ was introduced which includes specialized crop specific implements like Gyrovators, Shredder, Mulcher, fertilizer spreader and Harvesters. Around 87 Mahindra dealerships are present in the state. Currently Mahindra holds a 25 percent market share in MP and aims to increase the market share to 30 percent in the next year, he added. Samridhi Centers which provide facility of farmer library, soil testing, agri counseling, access to technological know-how and several other agri based assistance for farmers have been operated in the country through Mahindra dealerships for the past 5-6 years. Around 11 Samridhi centers have been operational in the state. The number would be increased to 20 in the next year.
