A 27-year-old man died after his motorbike was hit by a speeding truck at Dhamkheda under Chhola Mandir police station area on December 28.
According to the police the deceased Chhotelal Kushwaha was hit by a speeding truck and was rushed to Hamidia hospital where he died during treatment on Sunday.
The Investigating Officer ASI Kunwar Singh said that the truck has been tracked and would be seized. The truck driver remained absconding.
The truck hit the deceased late in the night and due to darkness the truck driver failed to spot the deceased and bike and was not able to control the vehicle.
At the time of the incident deceased was standing near his bike and was trying to start the bike, he added. The police have registered a case under section 304 A of the IPC and have started further investigation.
Meanwhile, a 26-year-old man committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling at Sunder Nagar under Ashoka Garden police station area on Sunday.
Police said that the deceased Omkar was found hanging with the ceiling in the morning on Sunday and was declared dead when rushed to a nearby hospital.
The deceased used to work as labour and was heavily addicted to liquor and committed suicide after having a fight with his wife in the night on Saturday.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. The police have registered a case under section174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation.
