Saddened with death of his mother, a 30-year-old man committed suicide by setting himself abl aze at Chhola Mandir area on Wednesday; deceased committed suicide after 13 days of his mother's death.
According to the police, Jagdish Raikwar set himself ablaze on Wednesday evening and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was referred to Hamidia hospital and later died during treatment.
During investigation police found that the deceased used to remain depressed after his mother's death around 13 days ago. Police have not recovered any suicide note and in the initial investigation they have not found any reason behind the suicide.
The police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation. On Wednesday the deceased locked himself from inside and set himself ablaze. The family and neighbours after hearing his cries and spotting smoke coming from the room rushed to his rescue and took the victim to hospital.
The victim was admitted at the burns ward where he died later during treatment. Deceased committed suicide after the completion of the rituals on the 13th day of the death of his mother.
Police have started investigation into the matter and have claimed that other possibilities could not be ruled out and would be investigated.
The details of the deceased would be searched and acquaintances of the deceased would be questioned as police suspects that the deceased was under pressure but it was not established that he was depressed over his mother's death and it is possible that there is another reason behind his suicide.
