A 19-year-old girl was sexually assaulted at Khanugaon under the limits of the Koh-e-Fiza police station; the police have registered a case of sexual harassment on Thursday.
According to the police, the victim has claimed that the accused Shoaib alias Tillu (20) was sexually exploiting her for the past 8 months on the pretext of marrying her but after repeated requests for marriage she was provided with different excuses and ultimately refused to marry her and was threatened of life by the accused. The victim informed her parents about the incident and the victim along with the parents went to lodge a complaint with the police. They lodged a complaint with the Koh-e-Fiza police station about the incident.
Police said, the accused Shoaib works as a daily wage labour and a year ago became acquainted with the victim. They soon developed intimate relations but the victim was not aware of the ill-deeds of Shoaib. He maintained the relationship and lured her of marriage but after few months when the victim asked for marriage she was provided with excuses and dejected by the attitude she decided to lodge a complaint with the police. Victim left the studies after class V and used to work at a private company but left the job few months ago.
The police have registered a case under section 376 of the IPC and after the preliminary investigation. Accused has been arrested by the police and would be produced in the court.
