The Gunga police have nabbed the killer of a 24-year old married woman who was smashed to death at Kothar village on Tuesday. The victim’s husband turned out to be her killer.
According to the police, at around 1 pm, Pinky Meena was found dead at her residence in Kothar village by a neighbour. On receiving the information, a police team reached the spot and after preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. A case under section 302 of the IPC was registered by the police.
SDPO Berasia Shanu Aftab Ali said that in the investigation it was found that the victim was hit in her head by a stone and her husband was missing after the incident.
The circumstantial evidences suggested that the key to the murder was victim’s husband Manoj Meena who could help in the investigation. Police were successful in nabbing Manoj on Wednesday.
When Manoj was questioned he confessed to the crime and confirmed that he has killed his wife with a spice crusher stone after a heated argument.
He revealed that he got married to Pinky around two years ago but after the marriage she was never comfortable with him and after a fight she returned to her house and remained there for more than a year and around 15 days back they agreed to a comprise but still she was not willing to live with her husband which frustrated Manoj and he attacked her with stone on Tuesday.
Accused owns farms and also used to work as labour at a plantation in the nearby area.
