Suspecting illicit relationship of sister-in-law a man axed her to death at Majidgarh in the evening on Thursday; fight started over entering of buffalo in veranda and accused hit her in head with axe.
According to the police, deceased identified as Kedar Bai was at house when her brother-in-law Sunil came and hit her with sharp edged weapon resulting in her death.
In the initial investigation it was found that buffalo entered the veranda which was to be tied earlier and it irked Sunil who entered a verbal spate and attacked Kedar leaving her severely injured and got unconscious. The family members failed to rescue her fearing that Sunil would attack them and later when Sunil left the spot injured Kedar bai was rushed to Berasia CHC where she was declared dead.
After killing the deceased accused escaped the spot and later he was arrested from forest in Nazeerabad in the morning on Friday.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. The police have registered a case under section 302 of the IPC and have started further investigation. The two had a bitter relationship, said police.
During the investigation it was found that Sunil suspected Kedar’s character and used to find ways to fight her and in the evening on Thursday he got chance and killed her.
Sunil and his elder brother Ramesh live at the house along with their families but for long accused was not have good terms with the deceased.
