An unidentified man died after he was hit by a speeding train while trying to cross railway tracks at Dewki Nagar railway crossing under Nishatpura police station area on Friday.
Police said the incident took place at around 10 am when the unidentified man tried to cross the railway track. He was hit by a speeding train. He was declared dead when rushed to a nearby hospital.A police team reached the spot and after preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem.A police officer investigating the case said that it might be an accidental incident as the deceased was not able to figure whether the railway crossing was closed or open and went ahead when the train approaching.
A case under Section 174 of the CrPC and have started further investigation. The police have not been able to establish the identity of the victim and have informed the nearby police stations to search for any missing complaint. Meanwhile, a 52-year-old man was found dead in a pit near KV-1 school under MP Nagar police station area on Friday. The deceased was identified as Amar Singh of Jehangirabad.The body was spotted by the locals after which the police were informed.
Police registered a cased and started investigation.The deceased left the house on Thursday and never returned. Family members searched for the victim and later lodged a missing complaint.Police said that the reason of the death would be investigation as possibilities of foul play in the death could not be ruled out.
