Jehangirabad police have booked a miscreant for sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl at Roshanpura; a complaint was lodged by the victim on Sunday.
According to police, the victim was sexually assaulted by her brother’s friend Prakash Gupta around 15 days and threatened her of life.
The victim is a resident of Gwal Mohalla in Jehangirabad area and is a class 7 student. The accused Prakash Gupta runs a garment shop in New Market area is friend of victim’s brother and used to visit the house frequently.
The victim in her complaint stated that around 15 days ago, the accused Prakash came to her home and offer for outing and took her to Lake View area and later took her to his house in Roshanpura and then the accused sexually assaulted her threatening her of life. The victim feared to report the incident to the family and brother. Later she braved to report the incident to parents after which the incident was reported with Jehangirabad police.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 376 and 506 of the IPC and sections of POCSO.
After the accused found that complaint was lodged he went absconding and is still absconding that a case has been registered against him, search on.
