Kolar police have booked a youth for sexually assaulting a 24-year-old divorcee woman at Banjara Basti ; accused sexually exploited the victim for the past two years and was staying in live-in with the victim and her children.
Police have booked the accused identified as Pradeep Rathore for sexually assaulting and exploiting the victim.
A case was registered after complaint was lodged by the victim with the Kolar police stating that the victim came into contact with the accused in the year 2017 when she was staying alone after having dispute with her husband. The accused assured that he would marry and sexually exploited her.
The victim stated in her complaint that accused would provide excuse of financial problem whenever victim would ask for marriage.
The victim had three children from her first marriage and they used to live with their mother and sometimes with their father.
The accused assured her that he would marry and she should divorce her husband and which she did but accused refused for marriage.
On Thursday victim reached Kolar police and lodged complaint against the accused.
Based on the complaint the police have registered a case under section 376 of the IPC and started further investigation.
The accused went absconding and is still absconding and search has been intensified, said police. The details of the accused would be investigated.
Meanwhile a 22-year-old girl was molested by her neighbor at her house in Kamla Nagar area on Thursday. The accused identified as Kashi was nabbed after victim lodged a complaint with the police after the incident.
