The Piplani police have arrested a 52-year-old man on the charge of raping his 21-year-old married step-daughter on Thursday. The victim has been sexually abused for past several years, police said.
The incident was reported at Narela Shankari area in the outskirts of the State capital. The incident came to fore on Thursday when Nirmala Bai, wife of the offender, Dhyan Singh caught him red-handed in compromising position with her daughter. Having caught Singh, Nirmala beat him, handed over to Piplani police.
The police have registered a case under Section 376 and 506 of the IPC. The accused was produced in the court on Friday and was sent to jail under judicial custody. Meanwhile, the step-daughter in her complaint told the police that she was married few years ago but after she came to know that her husband was mentally sick, she returned to her parents’ place.
She further narrated that her father had died few years ago and later her mother too got married to Dhyan Singh. In the beginning, everything was fine, but later, when Nirmala came to know that her new husband was not good in character, she married off the victim.
On returning home, the victim was living calmly, but after some time, Dhyan Singh started assaulting her sexually by threatening her of life. She further informed to the police that her step-father had asked her to keep mum on the issue and threatened her of life but on Thursday the family members and victim’s mother were shocked to find that accused was indulged in sexual exploitation of her daughter.
When the mother of the victim asked about the incident she told her that she had been sexually exploited by her step-father for the past several years after which the victim along with her mother went to lodge a complaint.
