Talaiya police have nabbed accused involved in killing 35-year-old woman at Rethghat on Monday; accused was annoyed over demand of money frequently by the deceased. Police said that the deceased Chandani Bairagi was strangulated to death by the accused identified as Raju Sharma who was acquainted with the victim and close to her.
During the investigation police found that the deceased and accused were in relationship which they continued even after deceased married Madhav Singh and later Singh’s family came to know about the relationship. The deceased used to demand money from the accused frequently and annoyed over her problematic attitude on Monday accused informed the decease to provide money where he strangulated her to death and was going to dump her body using auto rickshaw bearing registration number MP04T5084 but as the auto rickshaw ran out of petrol he left the body and escaped the spot. The deceased left her home on Monday night at around 9.30 pm and later her body was found in the auto rickshaw at around 11 pm which was parked near Rethghat police outpost.
The woman worked in a hotel near her house at Ashoka Garden. The auto in which woman’s body was found was purchased in the year 2014 by Faimida Khan of Qazi Camp for her husband Zuber and further details regarding the providing of auto-rickshaw is under investigation.
