Special court of POCSO Act of Bhopal district sentenced a rape accused to triple life imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 3,000 on Wednesday.
According to prosecution, the accused, a middle aged man of Sai Mandir area had sexually assaulted her minor daughter for past one year and also raped her three days ago when the atrocity came to fore.
The Special court POCSO Act of Bhopal district found the accused guilty of the crime, who was charged with section 376 (a) (b), 376 (2) (f) and 376 (2) ( n) of the IPC and sections 5 and 6 of POCSO Act, and sentenced triple life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 3000.
In the case, the victim was presented by Special Public Prosecutor T.P. Gautam and Manisha Patel.
Agreeing with the facts of the prosecution, the court punished the accused with harsh punishment.
Special Public Prosecutor Manisha Patel told that the complainant, who is a team member in NGO Sanjeevani Service Society Railway Child Line Bhopal, attended the police station Bajaria and lodged complaint that she received information from an unknown person that at gali no 1 at Dwarka Nagar a minor girl who was 8-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by an alcoholic and she is likely to be sexually assaulted again by the accused.
Based on the information girl was rescued and case was registered and later accused was sentenced by court.
