A 55-year old man was sentenced to life imprisonment by Nasrullaganj sessions court for raping his own daughter. A fine of Rs 2000 was also imposed on him.
According to the prosecution, a woman living in Kori locality in Budni tehsil had lodged a complaint against Tulsi Ram, her 55 years old husband, for raping his 24 years old daughter twice on March 7 in 2011.
The accused not only raped his disabled daughter but also intimidated her not to tell anybody about the incident. According to the complainant, the incident had occurred at around 10 o’ clock in the night.
Nasrullaganj police had registered a case against the accused under sections 376 and 506B of the IPC. The case was argued by Additional Public Prosecutor Rajesh Gupta.
Sessions judge Shashi Bhushan Pathak found the accused guilty of the crime on the basis of the disposition of the victim. He was sentenced for life under section 376B of IPC along with a fine of Rs 2000. He was also awarded three years rigorous imprisonment and Rs 1000 fine under section 506 of the IPC.
