A man has been awarded life imprisonment by a local court in Madhya Pradesh for murdering a woman here last year.Additional Sessions Judge Vibhawari Joshi also imposed a fine of Rs 5,000 on the convict, Sunil Pardhi, according to the prosecution. The sentence was awarded over the weekend.
Pardhi attacked one Gokulbai, who was working in a field, with a sickle in a bid to loot her silver ornaments. Gokulbai succumbed to injures suffered in the attack on September 7, 2012, it said.
