A 70-year-old man died under suspicious circumstances, who was found in an unconscious state at Gehukheda under Kolar police station area on March13; deceased died while undergoing treatment at Hamidia hospital.
According to the police a man died during treatment at Hamidia hospital on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Gulsher Khan after his death on Saturday by Kolar police who informed a family, that had lodged a missing complaint on March 17.
In the initial investigation police found that the deceased had gone with his friend Shahid and another friend and suspect that the friend holds the key to the clue of his death.
After the family members received the information they rushed to the hospital where they found the deceased. The family members raised allegations that he was beaten to death.
Investigating Officer MK Garg said that the based on the missing complaint on March 17 the police started the search for the deceased but failed to find and after receiving information of death of an unidentified man on Saturday who died during treatment the family members of the deceased were informed and after their arrival the deceased was identified.
The post mortem report is awaited and after receiving the report the reason behind the death could be revealed, he added.
