Panic prevailed in the Kurana area after a man in the age group of 30-35 years was found murdered under Kurana culvert under Parwalia police station area in the evening.
According to the police a body was found at around 5 pm by the locals near the culvert and police were informed. On the receipt of the information a police team was rushed to the spot and started investigation.
SHO Parwalia police Manoj Patwa said that on the left arm of the deceased tattoo of lal Singh and Om symbol are visible. The deceased was killed by silting the throat using a sharp edged weapon and his head was smashed by stone to hide the identity.
Investigation has been started to establish the identity of the deceased which could help in the further investigation, he added.
