A 30-year-old man was admitted to hospital after he reportedly consumed poison following a fight with his wife at his Pansheel Nagar residence here on Monday.His condition has been described as not out of danger by doctors at the private hospital he is undergoing treatment.
According to the police, at around 1.30 pm victim Nitin Sanodiya, who works as a manager with Rajhans hotel, consumed poisonous substance and his father took him in an unconscious state to Sidhivinayak hospital and after diagnosing his condition, the doctors referred the victim to National hospital.
Family members have alleged that the victim consumed poisonous substance after having a fight with his wife.The victim works as a front office manager at Hotel Rajhans in MP Nagar area.
Doctors monitoring the victim said that the chances of survival of the victim is bleak as the poison has spread to the whole body due to which he has been put on life support systems. The condition of the victim was described as critical. On receipt of information from victim’s brother, who is a police constable, a police team reached the hospital and recorded the statements of the victim’s wife and are waiting for the victim to gain consciousness, so that his statement could be recorded.
The police are yet to record the statements of the family members and the victim is not in a condition to give any statement. Police said that a case of attempt to suicide or abetment to suicide would be registered after the investigation.
