A 26-year-old man committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance after an altercation with his wife at Nav Jeevan Colony under Chhola Mandir police station area late night on Tuesday.
According to police, the victim Anil Thakur was found in an unconscious state at his residence by his family members after which he was rushed to the People’s Hospital where he died later.
Earlier on Sunday, the couple had a fight after which the victim’s wife went to her parents’ house. Infuriated with the wife’s action the victim decided to take extreme step and consumed poisonous substance. After the preliminary investigation, the police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and have sent the body for the post mortem.
Although, the family members have confirmed that the victim was annoyed with his wife’s leaving home but police have not recovered any suicide note near the body of the victim.
The investigating officer told that the possibility of victim being poisoned could not be ruled out and further details could be revealed during the investigation.
Meanwhile, a 32-year-old man died of electric shock in Berasia police station area during the wee hours on Wednesday. According to police, the deceased has been identified as leela Kishan, resident of Virah Shyamkhedi village.
The incident took place while the victim was trying to shift the air cooler. After having sustained electric shock, he was rushed to a nearby private hospital where he was declared brought dead. After preliminary investigation, the police have registered a case under section 174 of the IPC.
