Bilkharia police have booked a man for sexually assaulting his 7-year-old niece on Sunday at Chhawani Pathar. The accused lives in the neighbourhood and committed crime, while the victim was playing in the evening.
Police said the accused went absconding after the crime and search has been intensified.
The mobile phone of the accused was found switched off and his details are searched based on his location.
The victim had gone to her aunt’s house in neighbour and unaware of the ill intentions the naive victim entered house after which she sexually assaulted.
After committing the heinous crime, the accused threatened and escaped. The victim along with the family members lodged a complaint with the Bilkharia police.
After the preliminary investigation a case under sections 376 and 506 of the IPC and Sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences act 2012 were also imposed.
Meanwhile, a 40 -year old woman was sexually exploited for the past nine years on the promise of marriage at Awadhpuri area; a complaint was lodged by victim on Sunday.
According to the police, the victim was sexually assaulted by the accused Isthiyaq in the name of marrying her and later refused to marry her.
Based on the complaint police have registered a case under section 376(2) of the IPC and started investigation.
The accused works with BHEL other details are awaited. In the complaint victim claimed that the accused developed relationship with the victim when she came into her contact after her husband’s death.
