Suspecting illicit relationship of his wife, a man axed her at Kajli Kheda under Kolar police station area late night on Tuesday. According to the police, the assailant Antar Singh at around 3 o’clock in the night after having a bitter argument with his 32-year-old wife Anita Singh, attacked her with an axe in her neck and the head.
At around 4 am, the Kolar police were informed by victim’s mother Sushila Bai regarding the homicide and on receipt of information, a police team was reached the spot and the victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead.
After preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem. Interestingly the accused fainted when the police team reached the spot and he had to be taken to the hospital, but the doctors confirmed that the nothing has happened to accused and is acting to evade escape but later on he was arrested without any delay.
The accused used to work as a security guard at Choudhary farms in Kajli Kheda and used to live along with his family at the farm. The incident took place in the residence.
The couple lived with two children and the family along with victim’s mother . Three visible injuries were witnessed on the neck and head which suggests that the victim was attacked thrice using axe. Police have registered a case under section 302 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
In the initial investigations illicit relationship surfaced at the reason behind the killing but the murder would be investigated to confirm the exact reason and details of the killings.
