Angry over wife's filing divorce case, a 36-year-old man attacked his wife with sharp edged weapon at Raj Samrat Colony; Ayodhya Nagar police have arrested the accused.
The husband Gopal Yadav attacked his wife with a razor and seriously injured her as he was angry over divorce case which was filed by the victim after she got frustrated from ill behaviour of her husband who used to drink and suspect her character which led to several frequent fights between them.
The incident took place when the wife was going to work. The accused husband was hiding on the way and attacked her on her face and head, she is undergoing treatment and her condition is critical.
The accused works as painter, he is addicted to alcohol and due to which there was often a dispute between the two and later the victim filed for divorce and the case is in the court. SI Bhagwati Sharma told that Gopal Yadav got married 10 years ago to Deepa Yadav they have two boys aged 9 and 6. Gopal is addicted to alcohol and doubts the wife's character. Because of which there used to be frequent quarrels between husband and wife.
The divorce case of both is going on in the court, due to which Gopal used to remain angry. The wife lives separately with one son while Gopal lives separately with another.
The wife started working at home to earn a living.
