A 40-year-old man, who was attacked by his neighbour on August 17 at Om Nagar under Bagh Sewania Police station area, died on Saturday night, while undergoing treatment at Hamidia.
According to the police, the deceased Jaswant Yadav was attacked by his neighbors Akash Raikwar with broken glass bottle and was
rushed to a nearby hospital, where he died during treatment after ten days of the attack.
Investigating Officer SI Ramesh Singh said that the accused and deceased had a fight earlier and on August 17 accused went to the deceased’s house and started abusing him and later smashed his head against road several times and attacked with a broken glass bottle in his abdomen and upper
body parts.
The deceased was rushed to a Hamidia hospital
where his condition deteriorated on Saturday and later he died.
On the receipt of the information acting swiftly the accused was nabbed on August 18 and has been sent judicial custody, he said.
Police said details of the accused would be investigated and his crime record would be searched in the further investigation.
After the preliminary investigation the body was sent for the post mortem.
During the investigation after the death of the deceased section 302 of the IPC has been added in the case registered against the accused and has started further investigation.
The two had a fight over a petty issue in the past and to settle score Akash attacked the deceased which proved fatal for the deceased.
