Chunabhatti police have booked a miscreant who sexually assaulted a 25-year-old woman at a farm house on August 4; a complaint was lodged by victim on Monday.
Police said that the accused Malkan sexually assaulted the victim when she was alone. The victim reported the incident to her husband and later they approached police to lodged complaint.
The victim along with her husband came to Bhopal in search of work and stayed at husband’s friend who works at a farm house in Chunabhatti area.
The victim hails from Sironj in Vidisha district and around three days ago she along with her husband came to Bhopal as her husband was in search of job and also wanted to undergo treatment. Victim’s husband contacted his friend Malkan who works at a farm house of a building contractor in Chunabhatti. After the victim and her husband reached the farm house after sometime her husband went to visit a doctor at Kamla Park while victim stayed back. The victim was sexually assaulted by the accused and threatened her not to report the incident to anyone.
On the return of husband victim reported the incident and the two lodged complaint with the Chunabhatti police. Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 376 and 506 of the IPC.
