Ratibad police have nabbed a 20-year-old youth involved in sexually assaulting of a girl of his age. A complaint was lodged after the victim became pregnant.
Police said that the accused Vicky Soni took the victim and sexually assaulted her at Neelbad on September 15, 2017 and later for the past one year he used to sexually assault her luring her of marriage.
The victim in her complaint stated that she was sexually assaulted by the accused who befriended her around a year and later he used to sexually assault her on the pretext of marrying her. Few months ago when the victim asked the accused to marry her he refused and later she found that she was pregnant but still the accused failed to keep his promise and refused to marriage and threatened her of life.
The victim became pregnant while the accused refused to marry her and later the victim reported the incident to the parents who have lodged a complaint on Thursday.
After the incident victim and her parents approached police and lodged a complaint. After the preliminary investigation the police found registered a case under section 376(2) (N), 342, 296, 323 and 506 of the IPC and started investigation.
During the investigation, the police found that the accused allured the victim that he belonged to the same region where the victim hails from and developed friendship with her.
Based on the details police started search for the accused and later nabbed the accused. Crime record of the accused would be searched in the further investigation.
