Teelajamalpura police have arrested a 24-year-old miscreant involved in sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl for the past two months near Durga Chowk; the accused was arrested after a complaint was lodged on Thursday.
The victim who is a class X student was sexually assaulted and threatened by the accused for the past two months.
The accused lives in the same locality and used to sexually exploit the victim whenever she used to remain alone.
Police said that the accused Rahul Dhulia sexually assaulted the victim in the month of August and before leaving threatened her to keep mum. Later on different occasions she was sexually assaulted by the accused.
In her complaint the victim stated that the accused sexually assaulted her for the past two months and fearing that he could harm her she never reported the incident but on Thursday she mustered courage and reported the incident. Based
After the preliminary investigation the police found registered a case under section 376 (3) and 506 of the IPC and section 5 and 6 of the POCSO Act and nabbed the accused.
Police said that the accused was booked for assault and other minor offences in the past by Teelajamalpura police.
The mother of the victim work in Itarsi as teacher and used to travel daily to Itarsi while victim’s father used to remain busy with his work and victim used to remain alone most of the time which provided chance for the accused to sexually assault the victim in her house.
