The father of a 14-year old girl was arrested for molesting and beating her at Vallabh Nagar slums under Jehangirabad police station area on Monday.
According to the police, the 14-year-old victim was molested by her father for long but she never reported the inhuman act to her family and after facing the atrocity for long she shared the evil act with one of her friends. She asked the victim to lodge a complaint against the culprit. They later approached police and lodged a complaint with Jehangirabad police.
Shockingly, the accused father Noor Mohammad used to brutally beat the victim on her objection to the atrocity by her father.
Police said that after the victim lodged the complaint, family members of the victim visited the police station and were informed about the incident. The victim has a younger sister and it would be investigated whether the victim's sister had faced any atrocity by the accused.
A complaint was lodged with the Jehangirabad police by the victim in which she claimed that she was tortured physically by her father and was threatened to keep mum. Traumatized by the atrocities of her father she maintained silence and never reported the evil with to others in the family. After preliminary investigation a case against the father was lodged and he was arrested later.
The police have registered a case under section 354 of the IPC and sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012. The accused works as daily wage labour and does not have a criminal record. The victim is a student of class IX.
