Farhan, the primary accused in the ongoing case of rape and blackmail involving Hindu girls, has been charged with attempted murder after a violent attempt to escape police custody on Friday night. The incident occurred near Sarwar village in the Ratibad police station area when Farhan attempted to grab a sub-inspector’s revolver during transport. He sustained minor injury in leg with bullet fire.

According to police, Farhan was under police remand and being escorted by five officers, including Sub-Inspector Vijay Bamne, to verify information about another suspect, Abrar, allegedly hiding in Bilkisganj, Sehore district. The officers stopped the vehicle near Sarwar village, where Farhan claimed he needed to relieve himself. As Farhan and the sub-inspector exited the vehicle, Farhan suddenly attacked, grabbing the revolver and triggering a struggle.

During the scuffle, the revolver discharged, and Farhan was shot in the leg. Both Farhan and Sub-Inspector Bamne sustained injuries in the incident. Farhan was rushed to Hamidia Hospital for treatment, and the sub-inspector filed an FIR against him for the attack, leading to the addition of attempted murder charges under Section 109 of the Indian Penal Code at Ratibad police station.

Farhan, who is an MBA student at a Bhopal college, is at the center of a high-profile case involving the rape, blackmail, and exploitation of female students. He has been accused of coercing girls into sharing intimate videos, blackmailing them, and storing the videos in a dedicated folder on his phone. Police recovered multiple disturbing videos showing Farhan engaging in sexual assault, physical abuse, and even burning one victim from Indore with a cigarette. The victim from Indore was also forced to consume marijuana and alcohol, with Farhan admitting to his addiction to marijuana.

Despite the severe nature of his crimes, Farhan reportedly showed no remorse during interrogation. He falsely claimed that he loved the Indore victim and intended to marry her, attempting to mislead investigators.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Priyanka Shukla confirmed the attempted murder charge against Farhan following the violent incident. "The attempted murder charges have been filed in light of the attack on the sub-inspector during the custody transfer," she said.

Minister for Cooperation Vishwas Sarang strongly condemned Farhan’s actions, stating, “Such criminals must face the harshest punishment. We will not tolerate any form of 'Love Jihad' or such exploitation in our society.”

In response to the heightened security risks, a heavy police presence has been deployed at Hamidia Hospital, where Farhan is receiving treatment. Authorities are continuing their investigation into his criminal activities, which have sparked outrage in the region.

The investigation into Farhan’s activities continues to unravel further details about his criminal behavior. Police have revealed that Farhan meticulously planned his attacks on young women, using manipulation and coercion to create a web of deceit. His tactics included creating fake relationships with his victims, pressuring them into sharing intimate images, and then using those images to extort money and silence them. Authorities are examining his phone and social media accounts to uncover any additional victims and ensure that no further exploitation was carried out.

Farhan's actions have sparked significant public outrage, with many community leaders and organizations calling for more stringent laws to combat sexual exploitation and cybercrimes.

Police are also investigating whether Farhan had any accomplices in this web of exploitation.
