Police have nabbed main accused Shurti Sharma and member of gang Shaleen Upadhyay from Pune in case of abetment of suicide of Yash Pathe a second year student of lN Medical College on June 13; accused were traced based on making bank transactions.
On Tuesday cyber cell managed to tracked the two accused in Pune who were hiding at their friend’s house where they were nabbed by the police and were brought to Betul. The accused in a bid to avoid tracing their whereabouts left their mobile phones at Bhopal but were traced based on the banking transactions made in Pune. The main accused Shruti Sharma was senior of the deceased Pathe and before June 13 she had a fight with Pathe and with the help of others Pathe was beaten brutally and the accused took video of the incident. After beating and ragged by seniors Yash Pathe returned to Betul and committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling on June 13. Police found that the deceased was harassed physically and mentally by Shruti and three other and registered a case of abetment of suicide against them. A case under section 306 of the IPC was registered against the accused Shaleen Dubey, Gaurav Dubey, Shruti Sharma and Karthik Khare. Except Khare all the accused are Bhopal residents while Khare is a resident of Satna. During the investigation Akash and Gaurav have been nabbed by Betul police. After the arrest of the leader of the gang only Karthik Khare remains absconding.
