The Madhya Pradesh Congress spokesperson Vibha Patel said that the Mahila Pnachayat will not help women in any way. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan should take up the responsibility of women safety in State.
Notably, here on Tuesday Mahila Panchayat was organized where CM gave various announcements concerning women safety and self help groups. Reacting over it Patel said that CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan has tried to serve the old dishes in new plates which will not be acceptable.
She further added saying that today the crime against women is increasing and every day the new cases of molestation, dowry, domestic violence, and even murder are coming to light. Not only this but almost every day the women become the victim of chain snatching, loot and robbery.
She said the on one hand CM talks about enabling the self help groups; on the other hand the fishy things were carried out under Kanyadaan Yojna. The married couples were remarried and also the workers of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) were seen asking for commission. She also said the loans given to girls studying at high school and colleges will also go in waste.
She said that even earlier after Nirvbhaya case a toll free number for women helpline was launched by Chief Minister but later on it also turned out to be a political decision. She said that in Madhya Pradesh women are not safe and even the scene is getting critical day by day.
She further added that the announcements done by CM directly come under the Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) responsibilities. She said that it is important for CM to take up the responsibility of women’s dignity so that they can live peacefully and help themselves.
She also said that forming Panchayats will not help women and even will not get secured. It is required to take up vigorous administrative steps, she added.
