Assembly elections are to be held in the state next year. There are 70 such seats out of 230 assembly seats, where the Congress is facing continuous defeat. Now the responsibility of ensuring victory over them is being entrusted to the Mahila Congress.

The state organisation will deploy women Congress workers up to the polling station level in these seats.

They will go door to door contacting voters. The party has also decided that the candidates for these seats will also be decided in the next three months so that they get enough time to prepare. For this, State Congress President Kamal Nath has also started preparations.

Congress is working on several fronts simultaneously to ensure victory in the upcoming assembly elections. Under this, an action plan has been made to pay special attention to the consecutive losing seats.

After completing the work of candidate selection, the concerned will also be informed so that they get enough time to prepare themselves. In these seats, the party will also appoint a separate in-charge, who will give full time attention. The intention of the party is to reach door to door.

The purpose of deployment of women workers at the polling station level will be to maintain contact and communication with the voters. The social and political issues of the area will be identified and information will be given to the organisation officials so that they can work on it.

State President of Mahila Congress Vibha Patel said that the goal is to ensure the victory of the party by focusing more on the weak seats. For this, only local workers will be put forward because they have a personal relationship at the polling station level. State officials will visit the assembly constituency and prepare a report every three months. Based on this further action plan will be prepared.

Organisation in-charge Chandraprabhash Shekhar says that work has been started by making an action plan at every level. The role of associate organisations has also been determined.
