Taking the issue of molestation of Sheopur Mahila Congress president, a delegation of Mahila Congress leaders along with local party leaders and the victim of the incident met Home Minister Babulal Gaur here on Tuesday at his residence.
They demanded from the Minister to immediately arrest Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) pracharak Kripan Singh. The Mahila Congress leaders raised the question on the working of the police administration stating that no action is being taken against the offender because he is associated with the RSS.
The police have registered a case against Kripan Singh for molesting Suman Sharma by forcibly entering her house.
The Congress delegation told the Minister that although the case has been registered against him but still he is roaming free. Despite having named him in the FIR, police claim that investigation is in progress and Kripan Singh has not been arrested till date.
Home Minister assured the delegation that action would soon be taken against Kripan Singh. During the meeting, Babulal Gaur also spoke to Sheopur SP and inquired about the incident and the progress in the investigation.
Others who were present with the delegation included Geeta Mishra, Ashok Kumari Sharma, Rakhi Parmar Bhopal Congress president PC Sharma, BMC chairman Kailash Mishra and others.
Notably, the issue was also raised in the State Assembly few days ago, but even then the accused could not be arrested.
