Stage is all set for the biggest conclave in the recent times in the State capital as the preparations for the BJP party workers conclave (Karyakarta Mahakumbh) have been completed. With this, the Mahakumbh area has completely been sealed.
To save the city commuters from traffic jams, special arrangements have been made by diverting traffic at several junctions and squares of the city by the traffic police.
Expecting five to seven lakh BJP party workers at the venue, the diversion of traffic has been done in order to reduce traffic congestion in several important places of the city.
As per the new arrangements, vehicles reaching from Indore and Rajgarh would follow Kahjuri Mubarakpur, new lambakheda square, Chopada, Bhanpur, Ayodhya bypass and Ratnagiri to the parking at Jamboree ground.
Similarly, the vehicles coming from Raisen, Hoshangabad, Sagar, Betul and Obedullahganj the vehicles would be diverted towards Patel Nagar square Anand Nagar to the parking Jamboree ground.
The VVIP route has been finalised as from airport to Gandhi Nagar, Narsinghgarh trisection, lalghati, Polytechnic Square, control room square, MP nagar, Jyoti talkies, Govindpura turning and Mahatma Gandhi square. However, arrangements have been made that the VVIP would fly from the airport to the venue in choppers.
In the city, commuters from Awadhpuri have to follow alternate route from SOS village to reach the Old city area.
Entry for vehicles coming from Indrapuri, Sonagiri, Patel Nagar, Minal Residency would be restricted towards Piplani petrol pump, 5 number gate and ITI.
Vehicles from Habibganj would be restricted on Chetak Bridge and have to choose Rachna Nagar under bridge to reach their destination.
Commuters from Habibganj railway crossing from Ganesh temple would be barred from crossing Pragati Petrol pump and have to take Mansarowar road leading to 7 number bus stop to reach link road for reaching TT Nagar and the vehicles from Vyapam towards Board Office Square would be restricted.
District Collector Nishant Warwade told that the conclave at the Jamboree ground is a political one and the district administration are not involved in the organizing and arrangement part but district administration has arranged medical facilities and magistrates would be made available.
Additional Commissioner of BMC Sanjay Kumar told the conclave is purely political conclave and organized by a political party.
The BMC has no role in the arrangements at the conclave but as it is the responsibility of the BMC to maintain cleanliness in the city and provide water for the programme. The BMC will be providing these two facilities only.
Replying to a query Kumar told that the in case penalty would be imposed if the participants of the conclave are going to litter the conclave arena and other parts of the city.
Quoting example of earlier imposed fine Kumar said that earlier also the BMC has penalized the production house which has litter the parts of the city where the crew members were shooting the film and same could be done if the conclave areas and other parts of the city are going to be littered by the participants.
