The State Congress, while expressing concern over the increasing criminal mafia activities in the Gwalior- Chambal division, alleged that the mafia is getting patronage from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders of the State.
Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee chief spokesman KK Mishra in a statement on Monday said, “The murder of a brave police constable Dharmendra Chouhan, registering of a case in section 304 of IPC at the place of section 302 of IPC against the unidentified vehicle driver, calling an emergency meeting over the sequence of events and surprise announcement of SIT by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan while shedding crocodile tears is a bad joke.”
Mishra further said that the Government is only trying to help the mafia by doing all these meaningless exercises. Cross-questioning the Chief Minister, senior Congress leader asked that does the State Government do not know that how many sand, mining, stone, forest, land, building, education, health and liquor mafias are active in the State and they are working hand in gloves with BJP leaders and bureaucrats. Who is patronising this unholy coalitionIJ What visible big action has been taken by the Government against these mafias and their patrons, he added. He said that if the State Government is serious to expose the real outcome of the SIT investigations than it should also make public that which union minister is patronising these criminal mafias and how much monthly installment is that union minister getting from the mafias for the illegal mining done by them and what percentage of that is reaching the state capital Bhopal.
The MPCC chief spokesman said that very soon his party would expose the direct relations between all these mafias and the BJP leaders and bureaucrats.
